Tuesday

Decided to try an actual vacation day where we sleep in and relax.  I managed to sleep in and relax until about 1:00 and then had to get out.  Of course, we needed lunch about then so it was inevitable.  We headed out to skibberean and stumbled upon this cool place for lunch.

Check out how cool it is inside!

Did some shopping for Sean since he has apparently outgrown all his pants in the last two weeks.  It is a challenge to find pants for a 13 year old boy in Ireland, but they did it!

We then head out to Baltimore to see what's out there.
There isn't much, a harbor and a castle.  We decided to check out the castle.  It failed in comparison to yesterday.

On the way to the car, we found this crazy dog.  He was enjoying the wind blowing in his face from the harbor.

The hydrangeas and butterfly bushes grow like weeds here.  They're amazing!

Since Baltimore was a bust, we continued to make our way towards the sea.  It's always good at the sea.

Sean is in his element out at these cliffs.  He runs up and down, climbing and exploring happily.

On our way back, we tried to find the castle we can see out our windows.  Victory!

This is Jeremy Irons house.  No joke.  It's called kilcoe castle.

We made dinner at the house and then returned to one of our favorite spots for sunset.

Tomorrow, we'll get up early and do the Ring of Kerry.  It's my birthday, so they have to.  :)

  1. Happy Birthday, Pam! Hope you have a great day. I'm sure Sean isn't the only one outgrowing his pants on this trip :) I love the restaurant; it does look very cool. Baltimore, Ireland, huh? Nancy helped me with Skype yesterday, so give it a try at irquinlan. Home tonight - not tomorrow.
